Astec Industries
Astec Industries is located in Thornbury, ON. We are a manufacturer of heavy equipment for surface and underground mining. The equipment we make is highly engineered. In order to make and assemble this equipment we employ a wide variety of skilled trades including machinists, millwrights, mechanics, and tool and die makers. The makeup of our workforce is predominately male. We’ve recognized that in order for us to become more competitive we need to be more diverse. Our goal is to create life changing opportunities for not only our employees but our future employees. This donation is meant to provide assistance to women who choose skilled trades as a career.
