These awards were established through the generosity of Cox Automotive Canada to support a more inclusive, diverse and equitable future for the Automotive industry. As an organization, Cox Automotive Canada is committed to inclusion, diversity and equity in the workplace and the community, and believes in empowering its people today to build a better future for the next generation. Through internal efforts, like the organization’s Black Employee Network and Women With Drive employee resource groups, and by supporting and collaborating with groups like Accelerate Auto and the BlackNorth Initiative, Cox Automotive Canada is devoted to taking a leadership role in driving positive change.

1. Presented to one female student enrolled beyond her first year of studies within the Automotive Business program and one female student enrolled beyond her first year of studies within the Bachelor of Business – Automotive Management program at Georgian College. The recipient demonstrates academic achievement (80 per cent or higher), a passion for the automotive industry, is strong willed and has the desire to succeed. The recipient could also benefit from the financial assistance.

2. Presented to a full-time Georgian student who is enrolled in either the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (Automotive Management) (Co-op) program or the Automotive Business (Co-op) program and is in good academic standing (minimum 60%). Recipients will identify a current issue in the automotive industry and briefly outline their suggestions for resolving the issue. In recognition and support of Accelerate Auto’s efforts to advance career opportunities for Black talent in car dealerships, manufacturers, the aftermarket and suppliers, the recipient of this award will self-identify as Black.

3. This award is presented to a full-time Georgian student who is enrolled in either the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (Automotive Management) program or the Automotive Business program and is in good academic standing (minimum 60%). Recipients will identify a current issue in the automotive industry and briefly outline their suggestions for resolving the issue. In recognition and support of Accelerate Auto’s efforts to advance career opportunities for Black talent in car dealerships, manufacturers, the aftermarket and suppliers, the recipient of this award will self-identify as female, Black or of Indigenous ancestry.
