Kiwanis Club of Barrie

This award was established through the generosity of the Kiwanis Club of Barrie. Kiwanis International is a thriving organization of service- and community-minded individuals who support children and young adults around the world. More than 600,000 Kiwanis-family members in 91 countries respond to the needs of their communities and pool their financial and human resources to address issues worldwide. The Kiwanis Club of Barrie was started in 1922 and is the longest serving service club in Simcoe County.

The award is presented to a Georgian College student in the Honours Bachelor of Science – Nursing program with a demonstrated interest in pediatric or neonatal nursing. The student displays academic merit with a GPA of 70% or higher. Preference will be given to students who have graduated from a Simcoe County-based secondary school.
