Ontario Building Officials Association
Municipal Building officials are integral to ensuring the provincial building code is applied. There is currently a shortfall of qualified building officials in many municipalities across the province. The goal with providing this award is to encourage students to consider becoming a municipal building official in one of the 444 municipalities across the province.

Impact
This award is provided by the Ontario Building Officials Association to students that are in building construction related programs and the aim is to support those students that may want to pursue a municipal career following completion of their studies.
