Owen Sound Regional School of Nursing (OSRSN) Class of 1974

The OSRSN Class of 74 Nursing Excellence Award was created for several reasons: to mark the occasion of the 50th Reunion Graduation from the last class of the Owen Sound Regional School of Nursing and the first class of Georgian College; to honour Nursing as an independent profession and to remember its history; donated by a generous group of graduates in honor of the 50th celebration; and to ensure that Nursing students are not prevented from studying due to a lack of funds.

Impact

Try not to lose your idealism, always advocate for the patient first. Allow breaks in your Nursing Career to follow other endeavours so you don’t burn out.
You are the eyes and ears for the patient. Don’t forget to smile, it will put your patient at ease. Keep learning, there is always more you can learn even if you think you know a lot. Do not be afraid to ask! Admit your mistakes, we are not all perfect.
