Research and Innovation

The department of Research and Innovation is the hub for research, development and innovation at Georgian, focusing on industry and social challenges with our community partners. We provide applied research support for product design, process optimization, technology adoption, program development, prototyping, market research, analysis, and testing.

This award is presented to a Georgian student at any level of study, in any program, who demonstrates creativity, commitment and dedication to making an impact in the innovation space and embodies the tenets of Research Innovation Scholarship Entrepreneurship (RISE) including curiosity, critical thinking, problem solving and lifelong learning. The student demonstrates academic excellence (GPA of 80% or higher). Applicants will provide an explanation of a research project they are working on with faculty, as a capstone project, or as course work from their program. The research can be a past project that has since been completed, or one that is currently in progress.
