SCHBA Bursary in Memory of Melissa Bazely
This bursary was established through the generosity of the Simcoe County Home Builders’ Association, in memory of Melissa Bazely.

The bursary is presented to a student enrolled in a Skilled Trades program related to the construction industry, including Cabinetmaking Techniques, Carpentry and Renovation Techniques, Electrical Techniques, Gas Technician, Plumbing Techniques, Welding Techniques, Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician, and Mechanical Technician – Precision Skills, at the Barrie or Midland campuses. The applicant will demonstrate financial need.

BuildHer Award for Women in Skilled Trades
The award is presented to a full-time student in a construction-related skilled trades program at Georgian College. The recipient will demonstrate academic good standing (GPA of 60% or higher) and financial need. The recipient will self-identify on their application as female.
