Robbert Hartog Scholarship for Excellence

Presented to a student entering their first year of studies in any full time program (diploma or degree), of no longer than 4 years in duration, at any campus of Georgian College. They have demonstrated academic merit (70%+) in their studies, excellent leadership and have a clear financial need. The financial need criteria hold heaviest weighting.
The application must clearly state how the student meets all the criteria, describe their extra-curricular activities and interests over the past five years, ensuring they indicate leadership skills.
The recipient of the Robbert Hartog Scholarship for Excellence cannot receive the Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited Entrance Award.
Please note that this award is renewable for the length of the recipients program (up to 4 years max). In order to be eligible for the renewable award, the recipient must remain in good academic standing in his or her current program of study.
In order to be eligible for the renewable scholarship, recipients will be invited to re-apply in each year of their program. They will be required to submit an application form along with a cover letter indicating how the funds they were awarded assisted them and how they could benefit from receiving the scholarship again. The student must remain in good academic standing, frequent or multiple switches, drops, withdrawals and/or repeats of programs may be considered lack of academic progress and direction.
