Helen J. Shanahan Award

Presented to a student in the second year of the Honours Bachelor of Science – Nursing program who best displays the qualities of bedside manner nursing.The Royal Victoria Hospital Medical Staff sponsors the Helen J. Shanahan Award to honour her professional life at RVH where she served as Director of Nursing and as the Hospital Administrator. She performed all nursing duties in all areas of the hospital and was honoured and respected by all at the hospital and in the community.
