Burton Excellence in Leadership Nursing Award

The Award is presented to a student entering the Practical Nursing program. Preference will be given to part time students studying at the Muskoka campus. If the event there are no eligible part time students at the Muskoka campus, full or part time students at any campus entering the Practical Nursing program are eligible. The successful recipient will exemplify the core values of nursing and lead by example in academic, clinical, and professional environments. To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate academic excellence (80% GPA) and submit a personal statement detailing their involvement in the community and professional activities. The statement will highlight the applicant’s leadership philosophy and explain the importance of integrity in nursing practice.
