The Lou Biffis (Hon. Dip. 2018) Award

Established in honour and memory of Lou Biffis (Hon. Dip. 2018). As the founder of the Nottawasaga Inn Resort and Conference Centre, an award-winning all season resort destination, Lou Biffis was known for his extraordinary community and business leadership and his deep passion for supporting the next generation of industry professionals. In addition to building the Nottawasaga Inn Resort and Conference Centre, Lou Biffis also founded Green Briar and Briar Hill adult lifestyle communities. The Lou Biffis (Hon. Dip. 2018) Award is distributed annually to two second-year students who demonstrate a minimum of 70 percent GPA (academic merit) and are enrolled in one of the following programs: Culinary Management (CO-op); Golf Industry Management (Co-op); Hospitality – Hotel and Resort Operations Management (Co-op); Protection, Security and Investigation; Recreation and Leisure Services (Co-op); Environmental Technician (Co-op); or Environmental Technology (Co-op). As part of their application, recipients will provide a written submission about their passion for working in the hospitality/resort industry.
