Operation Hero Scholarship

Presented to a past or present member of the Canadian Armed Forces, or a dependent or spouse of serving or past members of the Canadian Armed Forces in any post-secondary program at Georgian College who has demonstrated involvement within their community. Students must demonstrate financial need and be a permanent resident of Ontario.

Please note that this scholarship is paid out in two instalments. The second instalment is awarded to the recipient(s) in their second semester. The recipient(s) must remain in good academic standing and be enrolled in the same program they received the scholarship for.

Previous recipients will be invited to re-apply for the scholarship in each year of their program. They will be required to submit an application form along with a cover letter indicating how the funds they were awarded assisted them and how they could benefit from receiving the scholarship again. The student must remain in good academic standing, frequent or multiple switches, drops, withdrawals and/or repeats of programs may be considered lack of academic progress and direction.
