The Walker Wood Foundation Award
Established by the Walker Wood Foundation to help address the critical healthcare workforce shortage in regional communities, this Award is presented to three full-time entering students (direct from high school), in the four-year Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSN) in Nursing degree program. Recipient will be outstanding, passionate students who demonstrate financial need, academic merit (minimum 70% GPA) and who provide evidence of their involvement in the local community. As part of their application, applicants must address how taking the HBSN program will contribute to learning, living and working locally. This Award is renewable for years 2-4 of the HBSN program should the recipients maintain a minimum 70% GPA.
