The Copegog Indigenous Community Award of Excellence

The Copegog Indigenous Community Award of Excellence is presented to a student in their final year of the Indigenous Community and Social Development program that self identifies as being of Indigenous ancestry. The recipient must also demonstrate community involvement with a letter from a community member, Elder, Knowledge Keeper or Indigenous organization they are affiliated with. The recipient will demonstrate how they have persevered in life and their commitment to Indigenous culture, traditions and contemporary issues. The recipient must hold a GPA of 75% or more. The recipient must demonstrate financial need.

    In order to be eligible for The Copegog Indigenous Community Award of Excellence, you are required to provide a reference letter from an Elder, Knowledge Keeper or Indigenous organization, that can speak to your community involvement.

    Once you enter the name and email address of the individual you are requesting a reference from, an email will be sent inviting that individual to complete a reference questionnaire. It is advised that you notify the individual you are requesting a reference from prior to entering their information.
